Jan and Anita visit Duble
The bringers of good gifts is prepared a festive welcome.
During the preparations for the trek Kame Sherpa contacted one of the teachers at the Jana Jyoti school in Duble to learn what items would be most needed. With this shopping list at hand they bougth:
110 | Exercise books |
110 | Erasers |
110 | Pencils |
110 | Sharpeners |
2 | Big sharpeners |
7 | Marker pens |
3 | Volleyballs |
For the transport they needed an extra porter.
They walked like they were Nepalis. You can imagine that especially the first night they were broken.
I was anxious to know how it went with Domini, the girl that we took to Kathmandu for a treatment against bone-tuberculosis.
Jan and Anita could confirm that she is well. She has successfully revalidated. The stiff knee seems not to cause problems to her and she behaves just like the other children.
Of course there were also meetings in Duble. One of the conclusions was that the consultation between Kame and the teacher did not reveal all wishes of the school. Therefore Jan en Anita went shopping again after returning in Kathmandu. They put in the shopping chart:
3 | skipping-ropes |
2 | badminton sets |
12 | badges for the badminton sets |
3 | frisbees |
2 | ABC+123 (puzzles) |
3 | geometri boxes |
5 | metal scales |
10 | scissors |
6 | water colour boxes |
10 | painting brushes |
10 | boxes with colour pencils |
18 | marker pens in several colours |
Kame Sherpa wird diese Sachen zu Duble mitnehmen.
